Subject:
Scrapers sharpened on top and bottom

Greg in Oshkosh
>I attended a demo by Curt Theobald yesterday. He used a curved scraper sharpened like a skew on two sides on the inside of the bowl. It somewhat reminded me of the hardwood scraper I've seen in the catalogues but looked more like a skew sharpening. The bevel on the top and bottom were at the same angle but they didn't meet in the middle of the scraper thickness. The top bevel was much longer than the bottom. Seemed real strange to see what looked like a skew sharpening on a roundnose scraper. He said it cut with a better finish and wasn't as grabby as a big scraper usually is.
Any one heard of this before?? Is there more information on the net??
