Burl prep *LINK*

>I spent most of the day today finding just the right way to cut up some Burls I got yesterday. These are Oak burls and they way a ton.I had to use an engine lift to get them in my truck.

The president of my turners club(Ed Castelin from the Bayou Wood Turners)helped me cut them up so I gave him 2 20" pieces and a few smaller ones.

Now for the questions.

Can burls be turned green with a good rate of success?

What would you suggest as a way of drying these burls?

Here are some pics of the burls I managed to save.By the time I found out about them the tree cutters had hauled away more than twice what I have in my truck.

Thanks for the help in advance.
