Powermatic 3520 A question

>The lever in front of the motor on the operators side that locks the headstock in position is loose and I can't figure out how to adjust it.
There is a slotted screw at it's center but I could not get it to turn.
A call to Powermatic was a waste of time. Help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
