Subject:
Turning blanks aren't cheap!!!

Harvey Brooks, Victoria, BC
>Just got back from putting two parcels in the mail for the turning blank exchange and my wallet is over $40 lighter for the experience. That's 4 times what it cost to ship my finished bowl to the east coast. Maybe next time we should exchange rough turned blanks, at least they'd be lighter. Oh well, it's a great thing that David and Mike have organized and I'm glad to have the opportunity to participate.
Now if the Pony Express from Texas and the Dog Sled Express from this side of the border can get their act together, I might get my bowl before the next exchange is organized.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Harvey
