Subject:
Sycamore Pentagon dish *PIC*

Colin Spencer
>I have made this dish / shallow bowl as a concept piece. I have made and seen both 3 and four sided dishes but never a five sided one.

This is made from an offcut of sycamore. It is 5" in diameter 1" deep with a wall thickness of 3/32" As can be seen it has a small foot, looking at the photos this should have been smaller? It is finished with sanding sealer and Renaisance wax and then buffed. It was turned without sacrificial pieces.

Comments wanted both good and bad. Is this something worthy of further exploration with more attractive woods?
