>As from what I learned in last weeks chat, I shortened the foot area as much as I could, about 3/8", since it was already hollowed. Also made the foot area smaller and gave it more of a flowing curve. Thinned out the bowl a bit more as well. About 5/16" now, I like it thicker to show off the sloping rim.
Finished using Russ' Deft/Teak oil method. First time trying this and it really worked well. Brought out the curly figure, not seen in this shot, and did not darken the maple either.
An improvment from last week? Thoughts? Wally, TD, Russ?
