1. when converting from a manual pulley drive system to an electronic variable speed, and you have a choice between 1725rpm and 3500rpm three phase motors, what is the better choice? Why?

Since you are going to used an electronic variable speed controller, why would it matter what RPM you used?

2. Is it important that the motor is rated as Thermally Protected? Why/why not?

3. When a motor is denoted as having a .75 Efficiency Rating, does that mean that you will only get .75 of the actual rated HP?
