Subject:
Sorby Spindlemaster

Phil Axtell
>Hi all,

My bride gave me a 1" Sorby Spindlemaster for Christmas. I was just getting through the learning curve with it and accidentally touched it against my spinning chuck. Chipped a small piece out of the very center of the cutting edge. (The bottom of the flute if it had one.)

As the bevel is highly polished to make such a smooth cut, I don't know how to repair it. You are only supposed to sharpen the top edge with a diamond hone.

Anybody know what I can do now, except to try not to cut the chuck anymore? Or to get rid of it?

Thanks,

Phil Axtell
