Dragon Lamp *PIC*

Molly Winton
>My son Art (almost 8 years old) asked me to make him a bedside lamp. Some time ago he also asked me to make him something with a dragon on it. I got a dragon pattern book when at the KC symposium this past summer so I could. It's made from an alder tree taken down at the house where he was born, so the wood has special meaning to him. It was also a good canvas for the elaborate dragon. I used the pattern from the book, but it was a bit plain, so I added the scales to it. The lamp stands 10 3/4" tall without the hardware, and at it's widest diameter it is 4". Finished with Danish oil and buffed.
