Mystery Wood *LINK* *PIC*

NotsoDull!
>Okay all you wood experts, I need your help.
I scrounged this piece of fire wood from a Pacific Northwest woodpile.
The bark was very stringy like cedar, but it's definitely not cedar.
It is quite soft and had a real tendency to tear out.
Mild smell.
It was fairly dry and didn't have many splits, which is what attracted me in the first place.
(that and the mild spalting)
Any ideas?
