Subject:
Cedar Elm Closed Form *PIC*

Ric Taylor
>This is a Cedar Elm crotch closed form that I completed quite awhile ago. It's 11" x 3 1/2". The wall thickness is about 1/8" except around the opening where it flares a little thicker.

I was interested in this piece of wood because it contained heartwood and sapwood, good "perfect" wood and rotted wood, and large worm holes and tiny worm holes all in one piece of wood, providing a lot of character. Working around the rotted wood area was quite a challenge.

The finish is many many coats of wipe on poly. Comments are welcome.
