Turning Archive 2006
>Picked up some red dye at the wood show last month, and decided that this oak crotch bowl wasn't any good for anything but experimenting. As you can see, the cracks have gone through and I haven't spent a bunch of time with the sanding. Just thought it might be of interest, since some folks have asked if oak is any good to turn...
For those of you that do turn oak, (especially white oak) how do you seal the pores?
