Subject:
Lathe Upgrade

>Have the 12 inch Jet. It was a good lathe for 3 years and is probably still a good lathe. But it's limiting me now, and It's showing some age, it could use a good going over. Beginning to think of a slight upgrade, wondered what. At this point, a 220 connection isn't an option.
Used is fine, but point me to places to look and ways to evaluate.
I turn bowls almost exclusively, and would like to stay right around a grand to 1500 for now.

Or might I be better served to just wait and get a nice Oneway or Poolewood or something in another year?

Another post suggested the Nova 3000 used, I think that would be a good deal, I really wanted it when I got my Jet but couldn't afford the extra cash at the time, but used now...not so bad, and it won't lose much more value.

Thanks.
