Red Palm Bowl *PIC*

>This is one of those experiments that may or maybe not should have been done. It drew boos and hisses here from the crew here and my wife says it looks like I had a rum nightmare when I thought this one up. I am trying to find a way to turn the hollow palm logs. This time I filled the hollow core with white sticks and poured in fibreglass resin mixed with black sawdust to fill the hollow log. Then added the white ring on top with black pegs for stability. The size is 10 inches in dia. X 12 inches tall. Next time I think it would be better filled with another smaller palm or with sticks of the same palm and resin. The thickness of the wood on a palm does not allow for much turning depth so this was the reasoning behind filling it.
