Subject:
Hollow form thickness question

Vicmarc.fan
>I have 6 things of sycamore about 8" around at the largest and about 12" high that I rough turned to about 3/4" thickness. They were placed in ahcohol overnight and left to dry till they lost no more weight by my scale. I have tried to finish turn the outside of two of the pieces and made the outside thickness the same as the inside on both trying to get them round again. My question is do you need to change the 10% rule on hollow forms or does sycamore distort a lot while drying? Even better question is what to do with the other four now?
