Subject:
finish question

ken chase
>As a design feature I painted a portion of my china berry bowl using a black marking pen. I need a finish to even places where ca glue was used and those places that are bare wood and mat. I worry that if I use lacquer or another solvent based product it will melt the black.
I have considered spraying krylon mat or using water based varnish.
Suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I also wish to conceal some very fine pinholes and crevices that didn't fill thoroughly.
Thanks
