Subject:
Ex table base *PIC*

Jim King
>The other day I posted a photo of a piece of Remo Caspi that we use for table bases and I asked how to make a turning out of it. Stuart Johnson suggested filling the voids with epoxy. We mixed sawdust with fibreglass resin and wraped some tin around the rounded center piece and filled the voids. This is the result. It is 3/8 inch thick as I was a bit nervous about it holding together but it held well. Next I have to try with other color sawdust. Thanks Stuart for the idea. The size is 12 dia x 3 tall. Now that the courage is building the next one will be bigger.
