Subject:
Best affordable Digital Camera?

Doug Trembath
>Folks, I have a favor to ask. I know there have been many different threads along this line, and I don't want to pursue this ad nauseum, but LOML told me she wants a new camera for Christmas. I asked her if we should get one that would finally give us pics like the best ones you all post here, and she said "Of Course!"

So, if I may, I'd like to ask those of you that follow this type of thing, which one would you buy today? I did quite a bit of photography twenty or thirty years ago, but things have changed so much since then. Posts and / or emails would be greatly appreciated.

I need to upgrade my pics and techniques such that I can finally get my website up and running, and I'd like to share more of my techniques and pieces with you all.

Thanks again, especially for your patience.
