ash, finish, and bill grumbine

This weekend I got a couple of chunks of ash that have a very lovely pink ...well not a streak, more like threads through the wood, and I don't want to turn those p yellow.

I can't find the thread in a quick search and am too tired and cranky to really look for it (all day at a craft fair today, and as one of the few males involved that means I got to take down everything and put it away too).

So, thanks for any help anyone can offer!
