Subject:
Woodcraft 4" steel faceplates

Craig Daymon
>I'm looking to get a couple of additional faceplates for my lathe and looking to spend as little as possible for reasonable quality. Ideally, I'd like a 4" and a 6". Looks like OneWay has the best deal for a quality 6", but I found 4" steel faceplates on the Woodcraft site for $29 each (8 mounting holes) which is just slightly more than half what most other places want for 4" faceplates.

Anyone using the Woodcraft faceplates? Any comments good/bad? Anyone know a good place to find good deals on 6" faceplates?

Thanks,
Craig

P.S. My lathe has a 1.25"x8TPI spindle. (Luckily, this helps make the Woodcraft plates more affordable, no adapter necessary.)
