>but I will post it anyhow. Sycamore sculpture 18" tall. Done mostly using rasps and files, but I did manage to kill 2 Proxxon mini grinders on this. Lots of hours of hand work on this one. Stained and finished with shellac, I still want to wax it to give a softer sheen.

This actually took longer in wood than when I have worked in stone.

I've got a few large pieces of sycamore that I hope to turn someday soon, though they have been sitting for about a year now. Any insights into how this wood turns?
