Myrtle Pot *PIC*

>Hello Everyone,

This is a piece of Myrtle that I got from Kurt Krauter a while back. Thank you Kurt! This wood came from the inner piece left over from a veneering log. I love this wood and the way it turns. It does have some cracking...and I honestly can't remember if I gave this one the alcohol soak treatment or not? Anyway, the cracks you see have been filled with epoxy and ground coffee. Don't remember the roast :) There are similar cracks on the opposite side. Almost a mirror image of the ones you see. It's about 10" diameter and 6" tall. Finished with Watco Danish oil natural, then several coats of Rockler wipe on gel poly. The black bands are done on the lathe with a small artist paint brush and black gesso.

All comments and critiques are welcome.

Thanks for taking a look-see :)
