Made a table *PIC*

Rick Allen
>A friend of mine admired a table I made a few years ago. She admired the table over a year ago by saying that she was going to have me make her a table. Well for some reason I moved very slow on this. My first try ended in a table top and two shelves. I never did get to the legs. I showed her the table top a coiple of weeks ago. She said it was to big! So I asked a couple of questions and this is what I came up with.

About 13 1/4" across, 26" high The appron is 12" across and 6 1/2" high.

The table is curly maple and bloodwood. I am considering making bloodwood feet. The tapered legs go from 1/2" to 1 1/2" I was thinking a 1" ball for the feet might look nice.

Funny how this works out. I will forget about the table in a few months or a year and she will be reminded of me for as long as she uses the table. We are so lucky to be makers. We get to have the most fun imaginable making stuff like this. We get to infect the people we love with these things we make. And as we make these things a piece of use is shared in what we make.

I guess the time of year is getting to me.
