Finally got some work done *PIC*

Mike Schwing from Md.
>Finally! Been more than 2 months since I turned on the lathe. This past weekend I finish turned 3 pieces that had been sitting on the drying shelf for long enough.

The first is in this post. It is a piece of white ash that has been drying for about 3 years. Was in fact the first tree I ever cut up with a chainsaw for turning lumber.

It is about 8" wide, and I'm very pleased with the form but I wish I could have tucked the bottom in a bit more. I was afraid of running out of bottom, as I'd turned a few of my recent bowls to zero bottom thickness. There is no finish on the outside and a coat of wax on the interior for a bit of contrast. All comments welcomed.
