Subject:
Anyone use an Axminster Chuck? *LINK*

Craig Daymon
>Craft Supplies sell a couple of the chucks from Axminster. They look well made and seem to go for just a little less than OneWay or Vicmark. Also, their smaller chuck (4") uses a key instead of those lousy jimmy bars. I'm wondering how the 4" compares to a Talon. In addition, I THINK the jaw sets fit all the Axminster chucks, so upgrading is less costly.

I put the link to the 4" description from the Craft Supplies site below.

P.S. The other nice thing about it is, for a smaller chuck, it is available for several spindle sizes. The link goes to the 1.25"x8tpi size I would need for my Powermatic.
