Subject:
Drill Rod/Blanks for tools

Tony - Memphis
>I saw an article in a turning mag. on how to make a small coving tool. Looked pretty handy and I'd like to make a couple of sizes to use for decorating handles and such. I tried to order some blanks from Discount Tool, but they never sent them and don't answer email The large tool companies only sell the small ones in tens. Any sources? The article said that drill bits wouldn't be hard down the shank, but I'm wondering if they wouldn't work. Its not something I'll use a tremendous amount anyway. Thanks.
