Turning Archive 2005
>Last Friday night, I attended an opening of a show at the Signature Shop here in Atlanta. Attending were many GAW folks including Nick Cook and Marc Granberry. The two artists were Phil Moulthrop, son of Ed, and Matt, son of Phil. They had a bunch of hollow forms and bowls, all finished in the distinctive style of a Moulthrop. I went, aware that I could not afford a Phil but hopeful of a Matt. When we got there, 30 minutes into the gig, all of Matt's had sold mostly in the 500-K range, and all but two of Phil's had sold. One was sold at 11.6K. It was very impressive the way the art community turned out. My advice to you is to change your name to Moulthrop!
