Turning Archive 2005

>I got a bunch of magnollia from my neighbor last summer. It's a very easy wood to turn, with a wide, nice grain pattern. However, it has what can best be described as "dirty" looking inclusions all through it - like the area along the top rim of the bowl. Unlike some of the inclusions in cherry and maple, these just look lousy (to me, at least). Has anybody else had the same problem with magnolia? If so, is there anything that can be done to clean it up, such as bleach or lemon juice?
