Subject:
Drying Conditions For Blanks?

Thomas Skaggs, Foothills of Mount Level
>Hi Folks,

A fellow called me the other night and offered me a large cherry tree. He just cut it down last week and said I can have the trunk. I suppose there is a potential for a good size pile of large rough blanks.

In the past I have stacked wood chunks in the garage (after sealing). But I will have a tougher time finding room for much more wood.

What about sealing the stuff, then stacking it on supports (not touching the soil) and covering with a tarp?

What are the desirable conditions for storing wood chunks?

Tommy
