>I posted this on the wrong board. Just discovered that the location of the city tree dump is just a short distance from my house. All my turnings except for the nice box elder blank sent by Carole from Virginia have been made from cut offs that I saved from projects. I still have four boxes of those but I would like to turn something a little larger and also some natural edge bowls and more hollow forms. Sooooo!! I am thinking of ordering a chain saw to help harvest some of the wood in the dump. At 86 1/2 I really don't want a big saw. Since I turn on a Jet mini I won't need huge blanks. Would a 3 hp Stihl or Husquvara be powerful enough to harvest some of the wood?
