Subject:
Test photo w/ chatoyance and true color *PIC*

Russ Fairfield
>I know the photo experts can find fault with this one because there is a lot wrong with it. However, the color is as true as I could get it. It is bright enough to show one level of a beautiful hidden grain pattern. You will have to shake your monitor to see the grain move from the chatoyance, and believe me, there is an abundance of it. This looks like it is on fire in real life. It looks the same on my screen after posting as it was before. And it is slightly out of focus.

The bowl is 18" diameter. The wood is from a Western Red Cedar root burl. I have never found this kind of wood above ground.
