Blessing cup *PIC*

>Made from cherry 3.5" x 2". I decided to try some smaller bowls, and as I worked on this one, I noticed that if i tried to do the usual and take down the rim to an even height, I would not have much of a bowl. So even though I did not balance it well, I decided to leave the natural profile to it. I also decided to leave a base to it, which is not my norm at all. The more I looked at it, the more it appeared to to a short cup. I textured this and gave it an aged look with English chestnut stain. No further finish applied, I want it to look more authentic. For some reason I kept thinking of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade with the scenes of all the cups and how the real cup was one of a carpenter. Of course mine was shorter so I see this as more of a short cup for holy water that might sit in an old church. Thus the name of this cup.

Yea I like to get artsy fartsy with explanations of my works, I've been doing that for ages.
Critiques are welcome, so lets hear them
