Subject:
Watco Finish question.

Barry Irby
>I have asked this before, but let me try again. I turned some walnut stools and sanded them to 400. Client wanted Watco. I use Natural and applied a number of coats. They have reached the point they take days to dry, but I still have spots that are dull and some that are somewhat glossy. The glossy parts are beautiful. Great depth. I am tired of Watco and would like to put something else over it that will complete the gloss and dry more quickly. Any suggestions? What is compatible? Also, Is the Watco durable and tough after it dries?

I don't think you should start building a Watco finish after you
reach 55.

As an alternative, should I strip them back down and start over? With what?
