>The thread last week on "Are you an artist?" really frustrated me. I think many woodturners shortchange themselves by rejecting the artist label. I had crafted a reply for that thread and then finally deleted it because I could not put into words what I was feeling.

Yesterday, I followed the link on Sean Troy's website to John Williams website where John had posted the quote below. The statement reflects exactly what I was not able to voice and I thought it worth sharing. A Google search shoes the quote attributed to Hella Basu, a British calligraphy artist.
