Cherry bowl from larger core... *PIC*

>This bowl is a gift to my cousin who is getting married in about 3 weeks. It is cored from a much larger section of the log with my less-than-perfect coring tools, but I got it out, and I am happy that the wood was made into something useful.

The bowl is from a black cerry tree taken by ice storm almost 2 years ago at my MIL's house. It is ~10.5" x ~4", and was wet wanded with mineral oil to about 400 grit. I turned two 1/8" beads in the top to make it hard to clean, and sprayed Deft varnish from the can (2 coats) before a final coat of wax.

Here is a pic from overhead.
