Subject:
Handwheel on Powermatic 3520A

Dawn Adams
>I am trying to remove the handwheel from my Powermatic to install a vacuum chucking system. I called Powermatic first to make sure I was doing this correctly. They said to remove the two set screws and turn clockwise to loosen. I did just that - using a large pipe wrench on the handwheel. After much struggling, the handwheel did begin to move, but only counterclockwise and it just spins. It is very tight, but it turns in both directions. Even the spindle inside of it just turns with it. HELP - where did I go wrong. Any suggestions on what to do to fix it?
