Wood ID Questions

>Hi Folks,

Here's my 2 cents on wood ID questions that are posted:

1. Clear photos of bark, endgrain of log, and leaves, if possible.
2. LOCATION -- where was this wood found, and if possible, where the tree grew (swampy, rocky, 8,000 ft elevation, etc...)
3. Size/scale
4. Other details, such as twigs, buds, flowers, cones...

To post a question with just a photo of the bark, and nothing else, really isn't very helpful, and leads to a lot of guesses. Remember, trees arent the same in Oregon, Maine Arizona and Alabama.
