Slow day- so why not Gloat? *PIC*

>Since picking up my new truck last Tuesday (repeat gloat!), I have made two wood runs. The first "run" was to pick up a birch burl that was at the sawyers. It was an ant condo, and the ants had processed a fair amount of the log before I got to it. Still, Dan had to forklift it into my new bed (which is no longer new...).

I'm guessing I paid $.10/lb, and I will get 6 smaller burl hollow forms, and 4 bowl blanks (nicely spalted, some burl). I just keep lookng at the core and thinking I might try to turn the "ant wood" too...
