>In my ever expanding quest to make tools that function well AND look good, I've been on a quest for brass ferrules. Yesterday, while searching the plumbing aisle at Lowes, I came across this item, which is labeled "bushing".

It looks way better than a standard 3/4" fitting, and is about 3/16" thick. I will be using this on my small hollowform tools, since the inner diameter appears to be +/- 1/2". It cost about $1, which seemed like a small price to pay for something that looked this good, I didn't need to cut, and had nice finished edges.
