Subject:
Poly over Tung Oil Finish

>OK, first I'll admit it is Formby's high gloss tung oil which I've read here isn't really tung oil. But I have 3 coats on a black walnut bowl and would like to put a durable finish on it. I was considering a wipe on poly. Any advice? I don't have spray equipment but do have a compressor and could buy a HVLP gun (I've already spent way more on this addiction than I ever thought going in to it whats a few more $$$).

I also have accumulated a fairly large variety of waxes and have Mylands friction polish and some carnuba wax sticks.

I'd appreciate all good advice and warnings before I mess this one up.
