>This may be dumbest idea that popped into my head lately but I have to ask.
Some people are boiling green bowls to eliminate water and reduce cracking. Has anyone tried boiling a green bowl in oil?
Lots of us have those big old turkey fryers that hold 5 gallons of oil and was wondering if maybe I can put it to some other use when it aint cookin' a turkey!
Just seems to me that with its higher boiling point, oil may work better to reduce moisture and at the same time put an oil finish to retard or eliminate cracking.
