Bad idea??

Spence in Rhode Island
>Being the cheapskate swamp yankee that I am I had an idea this morning to get some more use out of a pink grindstone wheel that's less than 5" in dia. In order to take advantage of the flat side of the wheel I thought of turning a wood form and gluing the old wheel into it. In use it would be mounted on the lathe and spun around 1,000 rpm or slower. Since one side is fully supported by wood and epoxy I figure there is less chance of it flying apart. What do you think? It's been suggested by those who know me that at times I'm not only a danger to myself but society in general. Am I once again proving the point? LOL
TIA
