Subject:
finial on hollow form

Dick Hines
>I just finished a cherry follow form and decided to put a finial on top. I turned one out of blackwood that I am happy with. The question is should I glue the finial on or just let sit on top.

I had a nice tenon on the finial but it was a hair to big. I enlarged to hole in the hollow form and sanded it and now the hole is just a hair to large. If I keep the piece it will be OK but if I sell it I will have to worry about the finial every time some one pickes it up to inspect it.

Glue or not to glue? That is the question.
