Subject:
Survey, favorite bowl gauge(s)

>I have been turning bowls lately, some roughing green wood and some finish turning of dry. It seems that roughing green blanks big enough, I can do all of it with the 5/8" Hamlet Ellsworth gauge, for small blanks I use mostly a 1/4" Crown gauge; now for turning the bone dry roughs, I can do the outside with any gouge, but the inside I don't seem to be able to do it with just one gouge, have to switch between several.

Do you have one gouge that does the inside job for you? if so, what size and how it is ground, most of the bowls I am making are 5" - 7" and 11" - 14".
TIA
Jorge
