Subject:
wood pile caution

Jim Davies, Clayton, NJ
>I took the time to look at my wood pile this morning. My pile is in the shade about 80% of the day with indirect sun the late afternoon. I found a number of log sections starting to crack from the edges inward. All these had two coats of woodcrafts green tree sealer (made by anchorseal I think). I put a third coat of sealer on to hopefully stop them.

We have been running about 10 degrees hoter than normal with some very hot sun so I am guessing this is what is causing it. I know mwny areas are doing the same. You may want to take a look at your wood pile also.
