Subject:
Natural edged cherry burl *PIC*

Mike Schwing from Md.
>This started out as a normal bowl, rough turned and waxed, but in between roughing and finishing I bought a Foredom. It is totally carved now, wavy like, interior matching exterior to about 3/16" thick walls. A ton of labor but worth it, I think. Didn't look right sitting on the table so the pedestal is made of maple burl. I'm pleased with the shape of the pedestal but think it could be a little more delicate perhaps. I had considered painting the pedestal black. About 11" wide I guess, barely fit in my photo booth. All comments welcomed/sought.
