This isn't anything world shaking but I knocked it out pretty quickly from some waste Siberian Elm and finished it ala Raffin with beeswax (after shellac sanding sealer and sanding to 4000. Made the hook too. I'm still better with a spindle gouge than a skew although I can plane with a skew and do the flat finishing cut pretty well. It was goodm practice in that regard.
