Subject:
Ursa Major *PIC*

Molly Winton
>This is designed to depict the Algonquin and Iroquois legend explaining the constellation Ursa Major. The bowl of the big dipper is the Bear, and the three stars of the handle are the three warriors/hunters that pursue him. This piece stands 5 1/2" tall, and is 4" diameter, finished with Danish oil, and will be buffed when completely dry. Thanks to Marshall Gorrow for leading me to the legend.
