Jim King
>This bowl is 10 inches by 3 inches. The sap wood is a yellow/cream color with orange, yellow and violet heart wood. This piece was rough turned to 3/4 inch walls, boiled for a few hours and dried in full sun for 3 days until bone dry and finished. Polyurethane was applied lightly and sanded wet so it heated up and sealed the wood well prior to applying the final coats and then wet sanding and buffing. It weighs 10 onces.
