>Is there any way to easily remove the dark stain from the denatured alcohol stock - which I am using to soak bowls. Lately I soaked about 20 mesquite pieces in it. Now it is a dark brown. I'm sure some of the stain is tannin. Tannin is used to stain stuff brown.

I'm sure I could setup a small distillation unit. But is it worth the trouble? I don't all my pieces coming out as a uniform brown color.
